Line Redirect Issue

Have a MICS 7.1. Trying to redirect a line that only appears on 1 set. I do
F84
Select IC and input digits
Select Line I want to redirect and get message "line unequipped"
Line has supervision on it. Set has redirect allowed.
Any ideas as to what I am missing?
 
Also verify that Telco has supervision turned on for that line.
 
Yes I did. That goes in ok. It is when it says selct lines and I select theline to forward itsays "line uneqipped
 
I understand that you have it programmed on the MICS but does your carrier have it turned on? One way you can test is to call in from outside and answer that call on the Norstar. Put the call on hold on the MICS then hang up the phone you made the call from. The line that is on hold should drop within a second or 2.

Check for type of line card also.

See if this works from reception without using Intercom as a test too:

F84
Select Line to be used for redirect (not intercom and code)
Enter the phone number
Select line that you are redirecting

Even if carrier does not have DS on the line it should still work, it just wont release call when done.

Set the line to appear and ring
then try redirection again

I dont think it will work if line is appear only because its not ringing the extn.
