Line object in detail section - Read Only??? Please Help!

I need to supress and unsupress a LINE in the detail section - in code (depending on a boolean value of another field.)
When I attempt to do that, I get the following error: Run-time error '70' Permission denied.
Is there a way to overcome this 'obstacle'?
I am using CR version 8.

Try using a text box instead. Set the borders to none for all sides except the bottom one. This will work like a line and can be suppress using the RDC via code. You will lose some of the line formatting features but it is the only alternative that I have I know of.
