Line cutting out HELP!

My staff has been complaining, but we could never duplicate this. However, it just happened to me......

While talking on Line 3, a call came in on Line 1. Every time Line 1 rang or the light lit, my phone call got cut off. But returned when the ring stopped. Then cut out again upon the next ring. Both ends of the conversation experienced this. When Line 1 was answered, there was no one there.

So far this has only been experienced on Ext 10 and 11

What gives?

Oh yeah...Still using Partner II Release 4.1 w/Partner Mail VS 5.0.

Try to re-create the problem by connecting single line telephones to the Bell demarc.

If the problem is duplicated at the demarc, contact your local service provider.

If the problem is not duplicated, then it is probably time to upgrade to a Partner ACS.
