Limiting Off-Premise Message Notification Retries 2

We are a medical practice using a Norstar Meridian Compact ICS V7.0 with StarTalk Flash. We use Off-Premise Message Notification to let the docs know when they have a message. If they don't log in during the first call attempt, the system will retry up to three times for each new message (using Class of Service 1). Is there any way to limit the number of retries to 1?

Look under the clas of service that you are using for the mailboxes.

you are probably using COS 1 which has a retry interval of 5 minutes and 3 attempts. I just looked at the flash setup & Operations guide again and could not see a method for changing the COS.

Thanks, I found that table in the user guide and set the mailboxes to Class of Service 1 to minimize retries. I'm trying to reduce retries from 3 to 1, but I can't find documentation anywhere to that effect.

3 is the minimum for the flash vm. With a NAM or CP, you can customize the cos's, and set it up any way you want.

Your phone system is up to date where you voice mail is not.

If its that important then upgrade to a Call Pilot Messaging system, you have much more power and can do it via the internet browser plus many more features.
