On my Windows 2000 Professional with SP3 1.9 Ghz with 1Gb RAM laptop, I get this Limited Virtual Memory error.

"Your system has no paging file, or the paging file is too small.

1. Right click...etc.
etc.
etc.
etc.
(Directions to modify the paging file settings)"

The problem is that after this message appears, it boots me right out of the OS not giving me the chance to make any changes to the paging file settings. I tried to run the Windows repair, it didn't work. I also tried deleting the pagefile.sys with the Recovery Console, didn't work. I tried pulling out the hard drive and putting it in an ultra bay and sticking it in another laptop. I then ran chkdsk /F. That didn't work. I don't know what else to do.

Have you tried safe mode?

Which repair did you do - the one where you choose reapir rather than new install - then repair rather than recovery console or the one where you choose new install, it finds existing installation and offers to repair it? If the first, might be worth trying the second.

I tried safe mode and got the same thing. I did both the os repair and tried deleting the pagefile with the recovery console.

I'll give it a try, I'm not sure if that will work, but we'll see.

Thanks
