Hi all,

Thanks in advance. We are running the Avaya IP 500, with IP Office Manager Version 6.2(14) if that helps.

Some of my users are running the IP Softphone (IP Office Phone Manager PC Softphone Ver 4.2.19)

We have the issue when one of our users will call another company that has several options on there auto attendant menu, after about 8-9 digits the softphone will not let us put in additional #'s. Is there a limit or somewhere that I can change this setting?

do you have a shortcode with that amount of x's in it? If I try to dial after I connect from my softconsole it doesn't do anything.
I use an analog line though it might be different with a PRI or SIP line, which one do you use?

Westi,

I did not see anything like that in the shortcodes.
We have a PRI.

Westi,

Our problem is when we call a place that has a menu with a lot of options and by the time we press 1 for this and press 2 for that, the system will not let us choose any more options after the 8th or 9th option

outch Tom I should not have said that about Arsenal I guess ;-)
It seems I put on the pants to tight this morning and can't think.
Bas1234 and TomMills What am I missing?
I know it is something stupid, and I went through the Product description and the manual for softconsole and it doesn't look good for me as I can't find even the feature of dialing after the call is connected.
robspwing how do you dial after the call is connected, with the dialpad?
have mercy with me I run on a couple of hours of sleep from last night.

they are using the # keys on the keyboard

In SoftConsole you cannot dial DTMF, you'll need to do it on the phone.
He uses SoftPhone

im using 4.2.22 and i just send at least 36 different key presses without it stopping me?

We are using the 4.2.19, maybe that is the problem

could try upgrading

i have an auto attendant set up here that i use for testing.

i dialed into it and just kept hitting the number pad randomly. went through options 1 -9 at least four times each. never timed out on me.

what happens with yours? does it just stop sending the dtmf tones out?

Tom Mills,

How is the quality of your softphone as regards to people hearing you and do you have any choppy sounds on the softphone?

We have 5 softphone users and a couple of the users are in house(at the company) and they are complaining about the sound quality of the softphone and they complain that the people on the other end cannot hear them since it is choppy.
