limit to images or movie clips?!

i recently created a project (Flash MX) that had 24 jpg images that were loaded into movie clips so that i could fade them in and out, but anything after the 11th movie clip would create distorted fade ins. has anyone faced such a problem?

Post some code... Or a link to your .fla.
There are some limits (16,000), but doubt you would have reached them with only 24 images/movie clips.

So what are you saying... That if you have 10 or less movie clips (& layers I suppose), this movie works correctly?

What was the whole idea behind this project? Just an automatic slideshow to show the 24 pictures each for some given time? With fade ins & outs or actually dissolves from one picture to the other?
