I remember hearing this somewhere- what is the limit? and where is the setting for me to check... (I'm wondering if this is why I can't record)

10 is the limit and it depends on what is administered on the disp capacity page (page 6).

Do a "disp sys cus" and check to see if the 1 hour VAL capacity is set to yes.

Hi, The limit depends on your system size.

I have CM4 on 8720's hardware duplication in use with extra large memory configuration.

My limit (see below) looks to be 128

TN2501 VAL Boards: 5 123* 128

Do a search for System Capacities Table at support.avaya.com and find your CM.

With an S87xx, there is a limit of 10 boards, 256 announcements per board and 16 playback ports until you get to 4.0

S85xx has a limit of 8, 84xx limit is 5.

With 4.0 in an S87xx non-XL setup the number of announcements per board increases to 1,024, BUT the total recording time is still only 1 hour. Total playback ports increases to 31. S85xx goes to 10 boards and S84xx goest to 8.

With 4.0 and an S8720XL setup you can increase the number of boards to 128.
