lik headset delay

i have an ipecs 100 with v5.0
indial call to extn when answered using handpiece works ok, when answered using hardwired headset connected to headset port on phone get delay of up to 10 secs before speech path is connected, any ideas?

sorry for the delay responding.
Only with some handsets on system all LIP8012 various f/w versions 1.0Ba,1.0Cb,1.1Af.
System is ipecs 100 E.oDk, prim 10 channels.
Customers pc's are running through the handsets.

have now upgraded dsets to mfim to ver 5.5Dd and all handsets to x.1Cd still have the same problem on one wired headset connected to headset port. if the user presses the headset/handset switch on the amplifier box it seems to help, any ideas??

fyi installed aria headset no delay.
modified bottom cord on headset reversed wires 1&2, 3&4 worked ok.
installed btc switch box on existing plantronics headset worked ok.
problem only appears when plantronics m12 amp used.
