Have a client who's system took a lightning strike, system is a CICS. Now every phone on system has an issue where line two and five don't work.

Client is now looking for suggesstions on what should be replaced. I'm thinking trunk cards but anything else?

Thanks!

That would be a good place to start and may be all that is needed.

if system has five lines there are two trunk cards. line 2 is on port 2 of card 1, and line 5 is on port 1 of second card. just swap cards and see if the trouble stay with line 2 and 5. If it moves to line 6 and line 1 its the cards!

buycvi..try talking your customer into buying a ups system
next time lightning comes around they more than likely
will love you for your suggestion on the ups system.i live in south carolina where most phone system will grab lightning thru a chain link fence and ups system works great and make sure they have there electricains check
ther power panels for proper grounds.

just info hope it helps.

try disabling and re-enabling both trunk cards in maintenance.
