Licensing

I guess this is one of those questions that has no real cut and dry answer but I am SO confused by the various licensing schemes that I figured I'd ask someone here.

Here are the particulars of the deployment:

15-30 end users, i.e.; people who will only run reports. Reports will be distributed via an enteprise portal or similar mechanism. We would also like the ability to distribute reports via email.

2 programmer/analysts who will create reports initially but might grow to 10.

Cost is the most important factor at this point. The company is a startup so their budget is limited but establishing a robust reporting infrastructure that can grow with their needs is very important. I have already looked into Crystal XI and the cost of the server edition is beyond their budget.

Anyone have experience with a similar deployment that can guide me to the most cost effective solution? Thanks!

If you want the users to be able to run (PULL mode) reports on an ad-hoc basis (e.g., providing different parameter values and getting the current data at that point), consider one of the items listed under "Report Viewers"

If you want to send (PUSH mode) report content on a periodic or exception basis to the users (e.g., via email as pdf or excel files), consider one of the "Report Managers"
