Hi all,

Our organization currently uses veritas 8.6 to backup our environment. We have agents also for sql 2000 and exchange 2000.

We are looking at purchasing our first windows 2003 server to replace a domain controller. I know veritas 8.6 will not back this up.

Can I simply purchase a new veritas program version 10.x to backup this server? Will I also need to replace our agents or will the old agent codes work for sql 2000 and exchange 2000? also, will I have to replace our remote server agent?

thanks.

You will need to purchase new license for everything. 8.6 numbers will not work in 10.x. All remote severs will need to be pushed the 10.x remote agent software.

ok thanks. What if we purchase a greyware version 9.1 off of ebay?
