Hi there,

I need some advice on office 2003 license running on Terminal Server/Citrix.
I have been receiving mixed information and need to be 100% compliant for
this project!

Example: I have 200 Computers, 50 Wyse Thin Clients and a total of 400 Users

I understand I need 200 Office licenses for 200 Computers for an unlimited
amount of users, in this case 250 to share these computers. (device based
license)
How many Office licenses do I need for the remaining 150 users sharing 50
Wyse Thin Clients? Per device or per user based office license?

Any more information needed, please let me know.
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanx!! Patrick

As far as I was aware you need an office license for each user running office.

Cheers

This is a copy from Microsoft's website talking about workstations. But how is it licensed for users sharing a Thin client? By device as the example below or by user?

Scenario 2:
A customer has 100 Windows-based workstations in a call center and would like to use Office 2003 on all of them. The workers who sit at these workstations work in three eight-hour shifts, so the 100 terminals support 300 workers. Whenever a shift change takes place, the current worker closes Office and logs off of the server in order for a new worker to log on and to begin running Office. The customer will need to acquire 100 Office licenses—one for each computer than will run Office.

Note: The number of computers, and not the number of workers, is important to this licensing scenario.
