I currently have a windows 2000 domain controller with ~100 users. I want to add a 2003 server standard with Exchange 2003 or 2007. If I join this new serevr to the domain do I need 100 server cal's and exchange cal's or do i just need teh 100 exchange cal's? This is going to be exchange only.

If I set this new server up as a stand alone server and not jopin to doamin would I still need the server cal's ro just exchange cal's?

Either situation you need BOTH Windows CALs and Exchange CALs.

Exchange Server 2007 comes in 2 flavours. Standard and Enterprise. Standard is for small places up to 75GB of email store. Enterprise is beyond that.

Exchange CALs come in 2 flavours. Standard and Enterprise. Standard is for companies without the need for Unified Messaging. Enterprise is inclusive of UM.

Don't get told you need Standard for Standard and Enterprise for Enterprise. It is just plain wrong.
