Hey I've just posted this question in the office forum but was told to ask it here. Hope you can help.

Hey there

I've been getting some conflicting advice re licencing for office 2003 (Pro version) and was hoping I could get a definitive answer here.

I don't have any specific licencing arrangement with MS as we bought most of our PC's one at a time BUT someone told me that I could install software legally on a desktop and laptop under the same licence. Is this correct and does this apply to operating systems also?

If your Office products are purchased with software assurance then you can install them at home as well as the full time user of the PC in the office.

Laptop usage I thought had been discontinued except for older Office products where it used to apply.

Operating systems can only be installed on one computer.

To my knowledge, MS had stopped all 'redundant use' licensing as of office '97
