I recently lost my Tone Clock, Network Control and Processor due to power outagaes and surges. After replacing these cards i have this Major Alarm. License Error and it stated that call processing will not work after 144 hours.

How can I resolve this issue??? is this due to higher version of software the processor card has and can i replace the memory cards of the older processor cards to get it working without this error?

Your help is very much appreciated.

cheers

You will have to have Avaya or a business partner reload the license file on the processor.

The license file is tied to the PROC so if you replaced it with a new one you will have to have Avaya or the BP re-configure your license to match the new proc.

The days of swapping control cards ended around release 9.5/10.

So what do i have to do to keep the switch running before i contact any avaya rep or get new on with release 9.

Nothing you can do, the vendor or Avaya can modify the license file. You will not be able to. This can be done fairly quickly.

The only other option you have is to perhaps put the old Proc back in but my guess is based on the fact that you swapped it out that is not an option.

I hope you have a backup from the old version. When the new processor was installed it upgraded the translation file to a format supported by the newer version of software. It is no longer backward compatible to your older version of software. To revert to an older version the translations must be restored using an old card or must be re-input into the system.

If you do not have the old back .....

I would start printing out all of the translations so they can be re-input.

If your business partner uses Provision they could use this to reprogramm the old processor. This could save you a great deal of time.
