Library palettes won't minimize in QX 6

It is annoying that my library palettes won't minimize in QuarkXpress 6. I often need 8 or more libraries open with a document and they use precious space on my desktop. In earlier versions of Quark the "windowshade" would "roll up" when double-clicked. A Quark tech claimed it was a Mac OS X issue, but I doubt that because the Style and Color palettes both minimize just fine.
Anyone else annoyed by this, or have any solution?
