My backups have stopped running on one of my media agents. When I check my library status CV shows it to be offline however the library is physically online and shows to be online at the library control console. I've cycled power on the physical library a few times now and I've also rebooted the server the library is attached to with no luck.

Actually I was able to resolve the issue. I rebooted the comserve to resolve it. Just so you know the reason showing up in was "Library is offline". I did try reset but when I did it just said that it couldn't reset because the library was offline. Here's what I think happened.. During a move of the Media Agent box that the library is connected to I connected the network cable to the other port of the server. I believe this confused the commserve.

you can actually reset just the library controller and avoid resetting your commserve. Right click the library and click properties. Locate the library controller tab and click on it.
Under the details option it should look like this:
active - yes
enabled - yes
Soft State - ON
if any of these are not listed as above reset the controller by clicking on the button.
