I'm trying to determine the identification of the memory location terminology for my LH4r server so that I can troubleshoot a memory problem. The documentation refers to:

1) Memory Board A and B (which is which);

2) On each board the slots are paired (according to the documetation) beginning at the top. The first two slots (J1 and J2) are "bank 1" and it says J1 and J2 of Memory A and B are bank 1, so I assume they are referring to all four slots when they refer to "bank 1",

3) I received repeated errors in the system log as follows:

Single Bit error bank/board 3, slot 1
error 0160 Parameter 1 = 0, parameter 2 = 1D, parameter 3 = 0 address slot between A0 and A29

4) I replaced all four dims in J5 and J6 on boards A and B, which I concluded was collectively "bank 3"

5) The same error remains, and a new error has shown up as follows:

multiple bit error Slot 2, bank/board 0 [zero] occured.

6) I am confused because nothing in any of the documentation I have refers to a bank/board number "0". I know that the CPU counting etc... starts with "0" but I am unsure which component the error is referring to.

7) FYI, I have matched all memory 4 at a time in each bank (ie 256K in J1 and J2 boards A and B). The system was working fine for sometime, and now their is a memory problem. So, I am just tryng to identify which dimm or board to replace.

I think if I understood how to identify each dimm's location I could probably isolate the problem. The bank/board zero error has me wondering. Any help appreciated.
