I hate to say it, but just about every monitor i've seen do that was about to go bad. There could be a loose wire or something in the monitor, but i dont suggest digging around in there, because its very dangerous. The only other thing i can think of is there may be interference from outside sources, microwave, fans etc. Can you consistantly cause your monitor to blackout? if you can find the symptoms, we may be able to find an answer. Unfortunately, random problems are the hardest to troubleshoot.
