No matter what resolution/Colour depth my 17' LG Studioworks 775 monitor blacks out for a second every now and then. Have installed the latest drivers and it happens on every refresh rate.
I hate to say it, but just about every monitor i've seen do that was about to go bad. There could be a loose wire or something in the monitor, but i dont suggest digging around in there, because its very dangerous. The only other thing i can think of is there may be interference from outside sources, microwave, fans etc. Can you consistantly cause your monitor to blackout? if you can find the symptoms, we may be able to find an answer. Unfortunately, random problems are the hardest to troubleshoot.
a lot of times it the flyback contacts getting dirty all you need to do is open it and right seat but there is more 20,000 volt in there so be care full most have a drain resitor but NOT all. So long and thanks for all the fish.
