LG Laptop not compatible w/ motorola cable modem

Anyone of encountered this:

Hooked-up LG laptop (XP Home)in motorola shaw cable modem it did'nt work no internet. But when i hook it up in Teraton cable modem it work. Please anybody can give me some advice and work around. Thanks.

I have done everything. Uninstalling NIC from device manager, run winsockfix, no virus
spyware, torjan,hijack found, use different network cable but still laptop doesn't work with Motorola cable modem of shaw only works with teraton. Thanks again.

Have you checked to make sure the Motorola modem works with ANY computer?

Yes i did...and it really works fine with other pc that's why it's strange to me.

It works with d-link router i don't know why?
