LG GDK-162 DSS Problem 1

Hello all, I'm from El Salvador, I hava an LG GDK-162 and the DSS of the receptionist (ext 110) does not show the busy and free extensions at the softkeys leds. The keypad of the receptionist is in ext 5008, any idea with this problem?

The keypad is a KD/E-24EXE and the DSS is a KD/E-DSS

You need to check PGM13.

Check the extension number of the atenndant keyset and also the DSS console. Install a keyset in the line for the DSS to see the extension number.
Attendant extension number = XXX and the DSS exension number is YYY in the example below:

Programming is done with: PGM13 + XXX XXX + Flex button 2 YYY (i.e. the device which must have the DSS. Flex button 2 = DSS MAP1).
If you want to identify a station as a DSS, you must enter two station numbers (XXX XXX) as the same number.

Hi doktor, I just have one more doubt, the attendant extension was configured with the 5008 extension. The PGM13 askme for a range. What range should I dial? I press 5-0-0-8 and nothing happens.

Try to enter 5008 twice (first extension - last extension).

can this problem be solved from gdk admin software? I have the software and the rs232 cable, but in the gdk-162 there are 2 rs232 ports at the board in slot#0 at wich one should I connect the laptop? In necesary to change into Service Mode the board?

It is easier just to use the keyset to change the settings.
The GDK admin program can only be used with Windows 2000 or 95/98, not XP. (Anyway the version I have).
