LG Aria 1340 voicemail problems

Hi I have lg aria 130 that I bought second hand about a month ago.
I need to forward outside callers at night so that they can hear an annoucement and eventually they be able to record a voice mail if they want to.
So far I can only bring them as far as hearing the annoucement but no voicemail recording. I did this using the PGM 144 ---> CO Range ---> On demand ---> VMIB msg.
Withe the local extensions, I can do the voicemail recording by forwarding calls to VMIB but somehow I cannot forward outside callers to VMIB.

You will need to terminate the call on and extn that is forwarded to voicemail. The VMIB itself is not a voicemail box

You may want to set up CCR PGM 228 and give an option to leave a message, eg "press 1 to leave a message". If you are using VMIB msg 1, CCR will be 01.

Depending on your software level option "1" can go direct to an extns mailbox or it can go to an extn that is forwarded to voicemail
