letter e opens My Computer??

My friend spilled coffee on his keyboard and it stopped working (duh). When he clicked the letter "e" it would open My Computer.

He replaced it with a Dell keyboard he had at home, but the "e" still opens My Computer. I walked him through the Keyboard options from the control panel, and he can't click Update Driver (greyed out), but I'm not even sure if that would work, so I told him to re-boot and maybe the computer will find the new keyboard.

Anyone have any other suggestions in case this doesn't work?

Usually the combination of the windows logo key and E opens windows explorer.

Have you ran a online virus scan to confirm you dont have a trojan/virus ?

I'll get him to do a virus scan. In the meantime he got it working, not sure if he rebooted or what.

The Windows key is probably stuck. Turn off Sticky Keys in Control Panel.

Or have him hit the Windows key 5 times in succession, that should turn it off.
