I have a Lenovo 8215LC1 desktop that when booting up, gets to the Windows XP splash screen fine, but from there on the video is scambled. I have replaced the motherboard and updated the BIOS without success. It's not the hard drive as I have swapped hard drives with the replacement doing the same thing while the original works fine in another 8215.
Anyone seen this or know what I should troubleshoot next?

Thanks in advance,

D

Did you reformat and reinstall Windows when the new MB was installed? If not, then it's highly recommended that you do so.

If the problem persists, then see if it happens in Safe mode. If not, then try different video card drivers.
If the problem happens in Safe mode, then the video card may be bad.

It sounds like video card corruption.
Has this unit got a seperate graphics card or is it using onboard?
The other possibility is: when using TFT screens, the refresh rate is set too high, try using basic 1024 X 768 resolution at 60htz refresh.
Also be sure to install the latest video card drivers.

The next step would be to swap out or add (if this is integrated GPU) the video card.
