Wasn't out of my way, customer is very close to where I live. I was thinking I needed to do this anyway so I could sift through everything. Do you think something in ARS could be affecting this? If I dial the ARS access code, "9", it lets me then dial two digits and I get "call denied" on the display of the phone. If I dial the pool access code directly "890", I don't get the chance to dial any more digits, just an immediate fast busy. SBC is the dialtone provider and the circuit started out as NI2 and we had the same problem, then I found a tech note on the Legend and PRI setup which says the circuit needs to be NI1 if its coming from a DMS100 which it is. Anyway, it acts exactly the same either way. The SBC tech also said that the DMS100 has a setting to emulate a 5ESS which I am wondering if we should try. I havn't tried the single trunk thing so I will next time I am there. I've also tried swapping pool groups between the PRI lines and the LOOP start lines. The loops work in either group, the PRI's don't.
There is one last thing that is in the back of my mind that I'm wondering about. I moved this switch from another location where they originally had it networked with tie lines to another Legend across the steet. I found this out after the fact. The T1/PRI card was already in the system and programmed for that purpose before I moved it, even though they had closed that site down some time ago. I never checked to see what programming was already on it, I just followed the steps to set it up as a PRI for primary inbound/outbound access. Could it be that I needed to tear down any original programming before setting it for this? The only thing I remember is that in GS/LS/DS1 wher you set the type, it was set for T1 until I changed it to PRI.
Anyways, thanks for the suggestions and if anything else pops up in your mind, let me know.
