Hi Guys,

I am new to legato and linux server administration. Had problems with the back-up for last couple of days.. My senior just emailed me saying the error log showed a scsi error (didnt explain much more than that) and went off on a holiday.. i reset the server it loads different modules and it loads the first scsi drive sucessfully when it come to second one get the following error message:

blk: queue cdf 09818, I/O 4294967295mb (mask 0xffffffffffffffff)

after executing above,,, the cursor just stays doesnt load nothing else.. I think it loads the 1st scsi sucessfully and when it loads the second one (above message) it stops.. also got another message not sure if its reveland

kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadpter errno=2

thanks you guys

These messages don't seem to be NW related. What does /nsr/logs/daemon.log tell you? - And please, do not just state a single line as logs often contains errors from various programs.

kmod points to "kernel mododules", in my eyes not NW related at all. But i have to admit that i never digged so deep.

thankyou 605
i couldn't check the log, because the sever would start after the above error message.. i got it working again now.. i switched off server and library unplugged the power cable, checked scsi cabels and mounted the drives again. powered on the server and library this time it worked fine..
thanks again
