I have a foxpro application writen in 3.0 that I copy righted a couple of years ago. I have found a product that from what I've seen was derived from my source code.

Is there a product available that will do a comparison of the two applications either in whole or in source, to find similarities and matches ??

Thanks in advance

There is a program call ReFox which can be used to decompile an EXE/APP back to it's source code. But ReFox will also let a developer 'brand' their program with a user defined key which is supposed to make decompiling difficult (impossible?). If this new product was 'branded' you may not be able to do the analysis you want.

I've decompiled the "second" application (it wasn't branded)

Just looking for a more efficiant way to compare these applications than by hand :(

Strong simularities have been found in the databases, but the sources for both are monsterous.

There is a product by Lexis-Nexis that tracks changes and compares documents. The legal department where I used to work used it for those purposes. I don't know how well it will work with code but maybe you can obtain a demo of it. Their website is

Use Rapiddoc found on UT to place all code in a word document. compare section.
and/or save to a text file
go to to get ZtreeWin a XtreeGold clone. Grab jfc.zip a file comparison utility also.
