I've been asked about an LDK100 system which has for some reason defaulted to its defaulted settings. Any ideas why this may have happened and how to fix it?
Not 100% sure, but it could be a dead battery on the MPB, or a failing MPB.
Factory settings can be restored if DIP 8 (from memory I think it is DIP 8) is toggled on and the system restarted, or someone on the system entered ADMIN Programming and used PGM 450 INITIALIZATION and chose to wipe the system.
I had an LDK-20 system and it defaulted to its factory defaults in Korean when the 1/2 AA battery went flat on it. Had to replace the battery in it to get it working again, otherwise it would forget everything when the power went out!
someone has done pgm450 , the battery has run out after a long power cut , it will recharge on this model , if the site deny a power failure if you connect to the serial port 19200 ,8 ,1 none 9wayD type rs232 lead straight through ,think its only pins 2,3,5 but to be sure just connect all then plug in reboot , get into brandy and do some digging , also check the actual battery switch is turned on alongside dipswitch 8 .
