Im having trouble connecting to the unit as I dont have the username and password.
the default ip address is 192.254.86.137
also does anyone have the modem drivers for the unit?
Ive tried that password, but it doesnt seem to respond.
Can I check something.
1st Does the unit have to be connected to a ISDN line and not a normal line? We have 2 normal lines..
If you can connect a normal line, where do you connect to?
Where would you connect the network cable to...
Here are the available ports.
DKT1,2
SLT 1,2
SLT 1-4
LCO 1-4
LAN 1-4 (I connected the network cable to nbr 1)
USB
I only really want to use the unit for merging both phonelines?
The ipLDK 24 User Name and Password are by default admin and admin. Default IP Address is 192.168.1.1
If the User Name and or Password has been changed - then there is no way of finding this... Only the engineer that changed the details would know them.
Very Important - Do not default the Telephony side of the system - the User Name and Password are held in flash memory on the networking side of the ipLDK 24
If they have been lost - then the unit would have to be sent to your local LG-Nortel representitive to be recovered.
Even if you managed to connect via Remote access - you will still need the user name and password.
If you do not know the Username and/or Password you will not get access to the system.
It does not matter if you connect via a LAN port, Serial Port, or Remotely.
This system could be recovered by an LG Distributor, but they must use special software tools to do this.
These tools are not available to anyone else.
I am in Denmark, so I think that you have to contact your local dealer, or google for LG-Nortel service UK.
The installer of your LDK-24 should know the userID and password, and should be able to reset it to admin/admin.
To "rescue" an ipLDK-24, you need a special boot software (*.BIN). The ipLDK-24 and a PC with TFTP server is connected in a small network, using a switch.
From the PC, also equiped with a serial port, and cabled to the ipLDK-24's serial port on the MFB board in slot 0.
MFB is "Multifunction Board".
The ipLDK-24 is booted and some commands are entered via hyperterminal to the serial interface.
The the ipLDK-24 is rebooted and the new s/w is transferred to the ipDLK-24 from the FTP server.
After this procedure, it is possible to logon again with the standard logins.
This procedure could be recovered by an LG Distributor, but they must use special software tools to do this.
These tools are not available to anyone else.
I managed to get into the3 system and the default ip has been reset and password to admin, admin.
One of the problems trying to login with the nexer 24 is that you have to use version 4 of interet explorer. Any older versions do not allow you accesss to the programming of the computer.
Am I correct in thinking that the nexer 24 is programmable only from the web interface and not from a program such as pc admin?

A:
Yes, use IE, only..
You could check the software version of your ipLDK-24 by pressing the [Trans/Pgm]+72.
Post the result here.
Today with version 3.7 of the ipLDK-24 the IE 7 or 8 is OK.
Earlier versions like 1.0 and 3.0 would require IE 5.5 or 6.0, but IE 4, I newer used, so yor ipLDK-24 must be quite old?
