Hello All

I have had a 4.11 server SP9 GroupWise 5.5 running for the last 8 years, no problems whatsoever.

I want to upgrade to GroupWise 6.5 but have to upgrade to NW6.5.

When I upgrade to NW5.1 all is well except I cant upgrade to NW6.5 for the following reason

1. LDAP is installed as it is on the list of installed programs in Console one
2. But there is no LDAP objects in the Tree and I cant see how to create them

And this is what stops me from upgrading to NW6.5 as when I do it I get the error message on the console screen every few seconds saying no LDAP object found Blah Blah Blah

Anyone’s help would really be appreciated

Cheers

You shouldn't need ldap to work to upgrade. The install of Netware 6.5 will create the necessary objects in the tree.

If you want to stop the errors, UNLOAD NLDAP at the console.

Thanks for the reply

Yes I will give it another go later

But if I needed to install the objects in console one or NWAdmin how would I do it?
I have looked at lots of posts here and on the Novell site but cant find anything relating to actually how to do it. when you right click and create there is no lDAP options in the menu even though it shows as installed in the installed options list!!!!

Cheers

Use ConsoleOne to create LDAP objects. Click on the container where the server is, and hit the NEW OBJECT button. You have to create an LDAP server and LDAP group and tie them together.

Ok will give it a go.

I think I see what you are saying as I was expecting there to be LDAP objects to create already in the drop down list

Thanks for the info much appreciated
