Old rls24 books say INI needed when changing Parms in ld 17. Release 3.0 books do not mention INI. Has this changed?
Specifically need to change CSQI/CSQO.

what in parms are you changing? some params (buffers) still need an ini, after a edd. another thing, param doesn't load on ini, if the check sum matches. for ld 17 adan's you can dis msdl and enl msdl x fdl, so you don't need an ini... buffers, i still schedule an ini

...just a reminder...INI doesn't affect established calls...but transient states are affected like dialing because the call registers (temporary call data) are wiped, & network cards support existing calls via their onboard memory....

and remember, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.........

just do it.

if your concerned about calls in progress, don't ini. no the calls will not drop, unless they are on hold conf or in the middle of a transfer. an ini under high traffic could cause a restart, that does drop calls. if you don't ask permission and the switch goes down, just make sure your in the switchroom alone.. i did an edd on a working 71, it ini'ed went down and stayed that way for 6 hours... just a bad monday in the middle of a week
