Layers and visual indicators

I am using Quark 5 and have just started using Layers. I want to know if there is anyway to view the document on the screen and not have the little colored boxes appear indicating what is on each layer. I want to see all the information but not the colored boxes.

I have tried making the indicators for the layers white but they are still in the way.

I had a feeling it was an easy fix but not THAT easy. Sometimes there are just too many places to look.
