layers and cells and image input.... HELP 1

I am new to Dreamweaver -UltraDev and I thought I had a basic page sorted, but seems not. I want to put lots of images into the page and read that I needed to put a table and cells in.. so I put a table in, added images into the table then covered the table with a drag on layer...
but when I go out of the page and come back, the layers have come adrift from the table.. and the images are not really staying where they should totally...

What am I doing wrong..

Also, when I add a background image in the page property area, it is there for that visit then on return it has gone even though I saved the page...

Without seeing the page and or code that would almost be impossible. If you want to post that information I would be glad to look at it for you.

When you save make sure you are using relative paths and not absolute (i.e. c:/apache/htdocs/image.gif would be absolute where htdocs/images.gif would be relative)

I am just clicking the save button. I notice that some of my images are saving outside the images folder but still in the root folder area..
Where would I mail the page?
