Hi,

I have form with a tabcontrol in it. There 2 pages in the tab control. Both of these pages seem 'to have' a textbox with the same name.
As far as my understanding goes, Access doesnt allow 2 controls to have the same name. This leads me to guess that the 2 textboxes are infact just 1 texbox in the main form but is somehow overlayed on the tab control. I hope I have described it clearly.
Is this the case? If so, how do I go about specifying these conditions like control A is 'always on top' etc?

Thanks a lot.

Hi
It sounds like the textbox is underneath the tab control, rather than on it. [ponder]

Thats baffling and I feel a little silly now. You are most probably right remou. I was trying out with textboxes and tab controls earlier and I wasnt able to see the textboxes behind the tab controls. so I assumed there is some layering order. Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, it's a little confusing. When placing controls on a tab page, you must first select the tab page, else the control goes onto the underlying form and shows through on all the pages.
