I am trying to build an html caleder. Already have the claender done, but I want links onthe calender to display text in a say, layer, on the right side of the window, without refreshing the window.

I have tried som eonmouseclick scripts but i'm not gettign it to work.

Any ideas, and thanks in advance!

Hey vincenzo,
It sounds like you could do this by using the show/hide layer behavior extension found (for free) at macromedia.com in the DHTML section. The name of the author is Mr. Foti (for look-up purposes; there are many extensions). Can't remember the first name exactly. Anyway this extension will allow you to show/hide various layers on mouse events. You will only need to create your various layers with text and add the behavior to each link telling it to hide all the layers but the one you want to show. Let me know if this helps any.
Good Luck,
Tim

Hey Tim!

What is the difference between DW build-in Show/Hide behaviour and the one from Foti? I've used DW's but never from Foti.

Hey guys,
I checked on the behavior I used and it is actually by Al Sparber (oops) - ssvii Show/Hide Layers - and the difference it has is Netscape 6 compatability. Or so it claims - I don't have Netscape 6 so I can not confirm any problems with DWs or fixes with Sparber's.

So my suggestion to vincenzo is to go to macromedia.com and download any DHTML or Layer Extensions that might seem useful and go from there. The one I have used that works for me is the one above, but I am sure there are other ways of doing it. Hope this helps and answers your question Eugene.

Good Luck,
Tim
