Event Viewer-System Log...look for the eventlog 6006 for shutdown, and 6005 for startup.

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

It should not be hard to divine this from the records in the Event Viewer. Start, Run, eventvwr.msc

Xaqte,

Forgot about that one. Very cool. Now does anyone remember how to get a report on the install date?

yeup

i found it

thanks

(of course first i had to find the event viewer :))))

bcastner, you may want to look at the script posted on:
thread329-798632

It has the install date you wanted. Hope this helps!

Thanks, and * noted for the reference. Mark writes a heckuva script as usual.

I knew the registry entry existed, but I keep thinking that msinfo32 or a similar utility used to just list it.

Your solution is perfectly apt. Much appreciated.
