Is there a way to find out when was the

Last shut down or last restart

of a computer?
(date and time)

i bet there is

maybe for all the windows operating systems ...

?

Event Viewer-System Log...look for the eventlog 6006 for shutdown, and 6005 for startup.

It should not be hard to divine this from the records in the Event Viewer. Start, Run, eventvwr.msc

Or, the command line approach:

http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/management/uptime/default.asp

This can give you a nice history with the "/s" switch. I've got this working on XP & 2000. Hope this helps!

I knew the registry entry existed, but I keep thinking that msinfo32 or a similar utility used to just list it.
