I have one report (CR 4.6) with an Access data source. Every time I print it, it always comes out 1 record short...like if I have 30 records, then it would only print 29... Does anyone know what would be causing it? Is it group sections or suppressions? Help please...

You might want to try going to format->section->details
->suppress->x+2 and see if a formula like the following has been mistakenly entered:

onlastrecord

-LB

Hi LB,
I'm using Crystal Report 4.6 and there's no:"format->section->details->suppress->x+2"...And I'm not using any formulas on the report...

The report should be indicating the number of rows read at the time it executes.

You might also add a formula in the report footer with recordnumber to show the count.

Rows can be limited in different ways, but check the Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record

If there's anything in there it's likely limiting rows.

If you right click the details section on the left hand side (guide area), is there a choice to Format Section? If so, follow LB's suggestion.

These are the details: Crystal Report 4.6, Access 97, VB6, SQL Server 7.0...

the application is VB6...when I click the "Preview" button in my VB app, it would show the report in a window... The process in my "Preview" button:
1. because of complexity reasons, I have to process the data from SQL Server
2. then write the necessary data to the Access database
3. and my report reads the data from the Access database.

My question is, does this happen to reports with Access datasource (disappearance of the last record)? Because if I checked the Access database, it has the correct number of records, but in the Print Preview window, it omits the last record.

I can't follow LB's suggestion because CR 4.6 doesn't have the "x+2" thing... and I checked the "Edit Selection Formula", it's empty...

I'm completely stuck... Help, anyone?
