Large PDFs

I'm running Q6.5 and have to create low res pdfs for proofing. I can't for some reason get all of the pdf low res. This only happens on some pdfs and not on others. I've tried different job options in both Q6.5 and Distiller but am drawing a blank on both.

It seems to happen on jobs with picture images (photoshop) in and not to the ones with eps' (Illustrator, freehand etc.).

Help!!!!

Do you have a distiller setting for Smallest File Size?

Yes, I've created a folder with the Smallest File Size job options loaded, but still it coming up with a pdf that's 21 megs which is larger that the whole job is when I do a collect for output.

Is there anything in Q6.5 preferences I need to turn on/off to help with this??

Or do you think that is a distiller issue?
