Got a system coming up rather large roughly 220 to 250 Digital ext and between 20 and 30 analog. 3 PRI's.

I have never put in an ip office of this size. Is their a stability issue with this many phones? Looking for an experienced opinion.

Thanks in advance!!!

well a fully loaded 412 can handle 360 ports, so you are well below it's capacity. I got several 412's in the 200 range and they are working just fine.

Ok, and what would you say if i have scn with two 412 ip offices and about 650 analog lines on both of them? Will this configurationa stable?

I would go with multivantage over 200+
Multivantage is a realy great product for large company,s.
But i also like IPO a lot;)
Custemors over 200+ mostly don,t like you to look for bugs or make resets after programming the kill you.

Thanks for the response. Isn't the Multivantage pure IP. I don't think that is an option for this company right now. They already have a couple of IP offices and that is what they want. Yes the reboot issue is always a concern.

SCN limits: 16 site 500 useres

Therfor 650 useres is over avayas recommended limits & would not be supported

Go for a CM instead of an IPO.
Only the fact that you will start of with 3 PRI and 10 expansion modules doesn't give you enough space for future growth.
From hte point of stability i suppose if you're going digital you will be okay but I wouldn't recommend going IP with a system of this size.
If you already need to start of putting more than one IPO in scn to support a single site you're not doing a good job in my eyes.
Maybe better to convince the customer to migrate is other offices so he can have real centralised management :)

Combination of IPO and multivantage works realy great!!
Have a custemor with a S8700 at the main site and 68 IPO at sub locations with 68 IP-Trunks.

Works great not a single problem.

Multivantage is a hybride you can have all ip or al digital its what you want.

Just use the right solution and be informed right by your reaseller.
I know you want to make some money but its nothing compared the complaints.

I would rather not put in an IPO that large, becouse of the growth factor. The customer knows and understands (and will be in writing) that they can only grow so large. This also effects multisite networking. They want to be standardised as much as possible, and if they ever netork, they will do it via qsig. They still have other sited with different systems in them. Ten expansion units on a 412 make me shakey.

I'd look for enterprise solution. Main reason is requirements to reboot system when some changes are made which might become an issue in this large of an organization.

The only good thing is that their is not alot of complicated stuff going on in this system. Basic call processing and maybee a few hunt groups.

This big?
Shoretel

This is what I would recomend, hands down. We sell the IPO, and Shoretel. This big, Shoretel.

List of Shoretel strengths as follows
Too many to list

The Shoretel product is so good, my first impression when I saw presentations was, I will believe it when I see it. From all I see, and hear, it is to be believed. The entire enterprise including multisites are administered via one image, one web browser. It is IP, or analog exts. you pick combination.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.
