Hey,

i have a toshiba laptop that seems to boot fine but has a screen that is black and has no resonse. I attached a monitor to see if the screen had just died, and the monitor had no visual either, the light was orange instead of green (on the external monitor) contrast has not been changed..

any ideas? thanks for any help...

you are in the wrong forum, I would try to find the right one to post this.

But with ibm and compaq laptops, when that happends I unplug the power, remove the batt. that usually does it. The other thing to try is to find th LCD/CRT button on your keyboard. It is usually a Fn key and some other key.

good luck
