Laptop Power Up

I have a Gateway Solo Laptop that wont STAY powered down.
I can turn the power off, but in about 2 minutes it powers itself back up.

I've turn the power profiler to NEVER in the control panel, but nothing seems to work...

Are you actually powering it off or going into suspend/standby?

If there are any phone lines or lan cables attached, remove and see if it still occurs.

I'm inclined to agree with dxd on this one. Check your bios setup to see if you have a WAKE on RING, or WAKE on LAN option checked. Also since Laptops feature the SUSPEND mode, checking to see that it is not activated will also help.
