I have a 2 yr. old Toshiba Satellite 1955 S803 that has been operating flawlessly. I brought it home for the holidays and when I turned it on at home the keyboard is completely dead. this is the model that has the removlable wireless keyboard, but it doesn't work at all now (either in or out of the computer). I've searched the Toshiba Support site but haven't gotten anywhrere yet. None of the keyboard lights (caps lock) work, and it doesn't work from a DOS prompt either. It almost seems like somehow I disabled it, but all I did was turn it on. Otherwise it must be completely fried.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanksl

It sounds like the keyboard on the laptop is fried, which is not that uncommon. You can replace the keyboard your self for a very minimal cost. Also If your pc is only 2yrs old it may still be under warranty and can be fixed for free.

If you have your model and S/N you can look it up here.

If it is removable and wireless, I would think it has a battery somewhere. After 2 years it may need a battery replacement.
