Hi-
I have noticed that on my laptop, about every other time I press the spacebar, it beeps. I have muted the speakers and it still does it. Should I be worried? Thank You.

This may be a specific code or warning related to your make of laptop (check your documentation or manufactuer"s site).

Usually "beep codes" are a way your computer communicates with you during the bootup process if there is trouble in booting up.

After bootup, when windows is loaded, any serious trouble is demonstrated via a Stop Error message.

Some times immediately prior to a pending crash of windows, when windows is "locked up" and "frozen" you will get a beep when pressing any key.

The sound is heard from a small internal speaker inside the processor.

You could check your Event Viewer and see if you have any errors or warnings listed.

Apart from the beep on using the Spacebar how is your laptop behaving?
