i have recently purchased an alienware m9700, i got the 2.2ghz amd64. i didnt get the optional dual vid card upgrade in hope of being able to find one elsewhere for cheaper. This has proven to be a daunting task. ive looked arround but cant find another 256mb nvidia geforce go 7900 gs. i was just currious if it would be worth the hasle of finding one. if it is, any suggestions on where to look?

I would suggest contacting gentech computers. They offer "custom built" laptops - if you have any hope of getting this, I suspect they will be your best shot:

But you should realize - laptop computers are NOT desktop computers. The components are often stuffed into the laptop in very custom ways so you either get the part from the vendor or your don't get it. RAM, Hard Drives, and CD/DVD drives are about the only things you can swap out.

it has the avilable pci-e slot for it. its designed to hold two, and i just bought the one at time of purchase. so im not looking to swap anything out, just add.
