Hi

it says its an asus A3H notepad

what other information can i get you?

sorry bout late reply and thanks very much for the help

Bobbie

Does it work with headphones? There is a switch in the headphone jack the shuts off the built-in speakers when headphones are plugged in, could be a problem w/ that switch.

yes it does work with headphones, even if you take the head phones out the red light inside the headphone jack still shines, any idea on how to fix this??

Cheers

About the only thing you can try is to dip the headphone plug in alcohol, and plug it in the jack repeatedly. This may clean the socket contacts. The only other way to check is to open the laptop. You DON'T want to do that! If the alcohol doesn't work, you may have to take it into a shop. Don't try putting any alcohol or (any cleaner) into the socket, you don't want to get any on the board in the laptop!
