I have a dating site which currently caters for USA/UK/Australia/Canada (all english speaking countries). I'm using an SQB db for this.

Soon though I would like to add new countries.. specifically Germany, France and Italy.

I'm wondering what problems I will have or things I need to think about in terms of storing these languages and the different characters that they use in my SQL db? What modifications will I need to make at my end?

If you are using only one database then choose a collation in SQL Server that handles characters for the languages you are interested in. If not in SQL 2000 each database can have a different collation. Though I have to warn you that the latter solution adds administrative overhead.
