Hi,

I am using CR 8.5 and have a report that I changed the Orientation in Printer Settings to Landscape. It shows up fine, but when I compile the report, on some printers it prints landscape and on some it prints portrait.

If I go in and manually set the printer on a workstation to print landscape, it will print correctly, but I can't do this everytime I want to print the report.

How can I get this report to print landscape on all workstations that I install this report on without having to change the printer manually everytime?

I have run into the same problem. I'm not sure of the cause, I think the report might default to the printer's default settings which is usually portrait.

My work around is the following:
1. Everyone selects "print the report to a window" to view the report before printing. This insures the report contains the information the user is expecting.

2. After compiling the report, I open the exe file and deselect the "modify selection formula" check box.

3. I open the "window style options" window by clicking the "window styles" button and select the "has print setup button" check box.

Number three puts the printer setup button on the tool bar when the user prints the report to a window. For landscape reports, they click the printer setup button and select "landscape" before sending the report to their default network printer. This is far from ideal, but is the only work around I have come up with.

Hope it helps.
