LAN, Switching and Routing: SDCC Termination Failure on Cerent 15454 (

We have (2) Cerent 15454 boxes. We are trying to create SDCC for visiblity from one box to another in the event we lose visibilty. This will be via OC12's we have on each box. The SDCC connection is setup however when the LAN cable is pulled we get an error "SDCC termination Failure." We are running CTC version 2.3.4 on both boxes. The main question is we would like to know is this function not available on CTC version 2.3.4?
